Advice and guidance for first time customers.

Order well in advance. Your export plates will be ready from the day you pick up the car. We do not offer same day plates.

You will receive a unique AKR number, (alternative contact registration number) which is required for the process. Please note that this number is issued to everyone, even if this is the only time you will be buying a car in Denmark. Please keep this safe; it speeds up the process and also gives access to Express plates if you return another time.
Please note: Once your order is submitted, the requested dates and driver information cannot be changed, and the authorities does not offer refunds. We kindly ask you to double-check all details before confirming.
Please be aware that Fridays are early closing days in Denmark. If you haven't made an agreement with the car dealer, expect them to close and go home for the weekend 12:00-13:30.
Important note regarding payment for the car: Most car dealerships require the vehicle to be paid in full—with the funds cleared in their bank account—before they will hand over the keys. If you have agreed with the dealer to transfer a remaining balance upon your arrival, please ensure that your bank supports instant transfers to avoid any delays.

Regarding payment for the plates. With every order you will automatically receive a payment link + Invoice for our fee.

The state's daily price for export plates is only €15. Avoid stress and unforeseen events by ordering an extra day.
Please note that we are not responsible for any system failures or outages at SKAT (Danish Tax Authorities) that may delay the process.
The insurance only covers the person named in the documents. Switching drivers is not permitted. If you wish to share the driving with others, a separate set of documents and export plates must be purchased for each driver.
Please note that even though the insurance is valid across the EU and EEA, some countries may have different rules for driving with export plates. This is outside of our responsibility; please check with your local authorities to ensure compliance with their regulations.
When driving for export purposes, the trip must start from the place of purchase within Denmark
Danish export plates are only valid for vehicles purchased within Denmark. If the vehicle has not previously been registered in Denmark, the authorities will require a Danish sales invoice.
