Advice and guidance

Avoid stress, waiting times and driving around to find an export plate operator who has time to help you.  Let us do the work for you. You just have to go to the dealer where your car is parked. All necessary documents and export plates are ready for you.

• Order well in advance. Your export plates will be ready from the day you pick up the car.

• You will receive a necessary AKR export number. Please keep this safe; it speeds up the process and also gives access to Express plates.

• Please be aware that Fridays are early closing days in Denmark. If you haven't made an agreement with the car dealer, expect them to be closed from 12:00-13:30.

• Your car must be paid in full and the money must be in the dealer's bank before the car is handed over. If you have agreed to transfer a remaining balance upon arrival, make sure your bank offers instant transfers.

• The state's daily price for export plates is only €15. Avoid stress and unforeseen events by ordering an extra day.

• We are happy to pick you up from Billund or Aarhus airport. See under "Transport" for more information.

• Please note that we are not responsible for any system failures or outages at SKAT (Danish Tax Authorities) that may delay the process.

• The insurance only covers the person named in the documents. Switching drivers is not permitted. If you wish to share the driving with others, a separate set of documents and export plates must be purchased for each driver.
• Please note that even though the insurance is valid across the EU and EEA, some countries may have different rules for driving with export plates. This is outside of our responsibility; please check with your local authorities to ensure compliance with their regulations
